The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Amadeu Abreu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adelino Paredes having to interfere. If Amadeu Abreu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Amadeu Abreu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Adelino Paredes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. Amadeu Abreu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Maceirinha booed when Alcamim FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adelino Resende didn't get a good kick on the ball. Maceirinha's Tiago Moutinho couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Alcamim FC. In the 24th match minute, Alcamim FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miguel Simões to maneuver through the defense. Simão Monteiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Miguel Simões during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Maceirinha booed when Alcamim FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miguel Simões didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 33rd minute, Álvaro Carvalho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Alcamim FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. When Jorge Paiva fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Maceirinha's protests and gave Jorge Paiva a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Maceirinha's Jorge Paiva got a free kick in the 39th minute. Miguel Pacheco struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Alexandre Rodrigues didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Maceirinha. In the 45thth minute of the game Simão Monteiro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Alcamim FC's Alexandre Rodrigues was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Simão Monteiro took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alexandre Rodrigues. Alexandre Rodrigues dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Álvaro Carvalho was the one to do the kick off. Alcamim FC's Alexandre Rodrigues played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miguel Pacheco in the 55th minute of play. Simão Monteiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alexandre Rodrigues showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miguel Pacheco in the 61st minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Miguel Pacheco in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alexandre Rodrigues saved Alcamim FC from getting behind. If Álvaro Carvalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Américo Viegas charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Américo Viegas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 73 played minutes Alcamim FC got a freekick which was hit by Américo Viegas. Alcamim FC's Álvaro Carvalho got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Miguel Pacheco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Maceirinha's supporters rose to their feet, but Miguel Pacheco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alexandre Rodrigues breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alexandre Rodrigues didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Maceirinha's Simão Monteiro shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 2-2 in the ordered_time% minute. In the 89th minute, Simão Monteiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Simão Monteiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexandre Rodrigues having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Miguel Pacheco in the 96th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alexandre Rodrigues saved Alcamim FC from getting behind. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
