Bruno Dantas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pimeiro FC. Pedro Trindade sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With his leg Bruno Dantas managed to avoid a goal in the 16thth minute, when Pimeiro FC's Abel Dias fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 25 minutes into the game, Pedro Trindade cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Rui Gomes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After having played for 35 minutes, Abel Dias managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pimeiro FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abel Dias was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 36 minutes into the match, SC Arez's goal looked a bit too open when Ricardo Pereira came free, but Bruno Dantas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bruno Dantas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Abel Dias in the 42nd minute. Rui Gomes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Trindade in the 45th minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ricardo Pereira to make the kick off. SC Arez's Bruno Dantas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricardo Pereira in the 53rd minute of play. Rafael Cunha charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rafael Cunha the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Rafael Cunha hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Manuel Campos missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 56 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Bruno Dantas right hand side. Ricardo Pereira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Bruno Dantas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Pimeiro FC's zone, Emanuel Guarda stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rui Gomes came out of the goal and Emanuel Guarda tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when SC Arez's Pedro Trindade in the 68th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Rui Gomes was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Pimeiro FC through an amazing save. The supporters of SC Arez booed when Pimeiro FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manuel Campos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emanuel Guarda's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 72ndth minute, Rui Gomes skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Bruno Dantas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abel Dias in the 78th minute of play.
