An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacinto Ferreira in the 4th minute of play forced SC Guilhova's goalkeeper Vítor Vieira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Carlos Dias came up free with the goalie in the 9th minute, the SC Guilhova fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlos Dias couldn't finish the play. Eusébio Cruz hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. When Vicente Guerreiro fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Campinos's protests and gave Vicente Guerreiro a yellow card for diving instead. When SC Guilhova's Carlos Dias in the 14th minute got a chance for a shot 14th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Campinos's goalie prevented a goal. Paulo Santos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 17 played minutes SC Guilhova got a freekick which was hit by Alfredo Vieira. After a defensive mix-up in Campinos's zone, Carlos Dias stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amadeu Leite came out of the goal and Carlos Dias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 27th minute, Paulo Santos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Campinos fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After 33 played minutes SC Guilhova got a freekick which was hit by Alfredo Vieira. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Paulo Santos in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vítor Vieira saved SC Guilhova from getting behind. Jacinto Ferreira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vítor Vieira having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Campinos's zone, Carlos Dias stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amadeu Leite came out of the goal and Carlos Dias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gonçalo Cunha could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Amadeu Leite made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as SC Guilhova's Carlos Dias slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Amadeu Leite. That made the score 1-1 after 45 minutes of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Carlos Dias made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 52 minutes, Paulo Santos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Campinos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paulo Santos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 57 minutes into the game, Carlos Dias was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Guilhova's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Campinos the free kick. In the 57th match minute, SC Guilhova was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Dias to maneuver through the defense. Gonçalo Cunha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Amadeu Leite tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carlos Dias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amadeu Leite having to interfere. 77 minutes into the game, Gonçalo Cunha cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Amadeu Leite was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in SC Guilhova's zone, Jacinto Ferreira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vítor Vieira came out of the goal and Jacinto Ferreira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Campinos booed when SC Guilhova was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Viriato Assunção didn't get a good kick on the ball. SC Guilhova's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
