Jacinto Costa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 7th minute Rui Barros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacinto Costa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joaquim Baptista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 13th minute Marco Morais shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacinto Costa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Moreira charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. When Júlio Faro fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mofreita FC's protests and gave Júlio Faro a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Mofreita FC getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Júlio Faro hit a great ball. Manuel Carvalho stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Delfim Leal's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. 36 minutes into the match, Mofreita FC's goal looked a bit too open when Joaquim Baptista came free, but Jacinto Costa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Bostochao FC fans' excitement grew in the 46th match minute when Bostochao FC's Joaquim Baptista looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Manuel Carvalho made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Delfim Leal in the 61st minute of play forced Bostochao FC's goalkeeper Manuel Carvalho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Manuel Carvalho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Delfim Leal, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. With an all-out effort, Bostochao FC's Jacinto Costa threw himself towards the right post 67 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Joaquim Baptista, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After a rather tough play, Mofreita FC's Tiago Lisboa got a free kick in the 68th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Bostochao FC's Diogo Castro tried to score from far away in the 69th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 73rd minute Joaquim Baptista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacinto Costa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fernando Miranda charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fernando Miranda the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a defensive mix-up in Mofreita FC's zone, Rui Barros stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jacinto Costa came out of the goal and Rui Barros tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 83 minutes, Rui Barros managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bostochao FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rui Barros was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Júlio Faro scored 2-3 in the 96th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Manuel Carvalho, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Bostochao FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
