Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Albertino Resende got the match started through his kick off. André Nogueira didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 3rd minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. 9 minutes into the game, Manuel Jesus was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Carvalheda's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Neiva the free kick. If Mariano Pereira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abel Araújo hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. In the 26th minute, Mariano Pereira fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of André Nogueira, passed just outside the right post. Albertino Resende sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 30th minute, Alexandre Abreu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. José Pereira might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nuno Vaz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. José Pereira ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in SC Carvalheda's zone, Pedro Matos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nuno Vaz came out of the goal and Pedro Matos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Albertino Resende recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 54 minutes into the match, SC Neiva's goal looked a bit too open when Albertino Resende came free, but André Nogueira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. André Nogueira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mariano Pereira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. André Nogueira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albertino Resende in the 57th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eusébio Queirós during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 62 played minutes SC Neiva got a freekick which was hit by Eusébio Queirós. 68 minutes into the match, José Pereira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nuno Vaz. SC Carvalheda's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that José Pereira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Mariano Pereira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 77 minutes into the match, SC Carvalheda's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Matos came free, but Nuno Vaz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nuno Vaz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from José Pereira went, in the 81st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. A collision led to SC Carvalheda getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Joaquim Oliveira hit a great ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. SC Neiva walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
