The referee showed Nuno Figueiredo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 4 played minutes Godel got a freekick which was hit by Nuno Figueiredo. Gaspar Anjos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Américo Coelho having to interfere. In the 11th minute Nuno Oliveira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Américo Coelho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 14 played minutes Godel got a freekick which was hit by Fernando Sousa. The referee felt a red card was in order, 17 minutes into the game, when Delfim Branco put in a rough tackle. In a very dangerous position, a player in Arca FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 16th minute. Penalty! After 21 played minutes Godel got a freekick which was hit by Bruno Araújo. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gaspar Anjos got free with Américo Coelho in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Godel getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Nuno Figueiredo hit a great ball. In the 29thth minute of the game Lúcio Assunção who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Arca FC's Alexandre Neves was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 30 minutes into the match, Arca FC's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Torres came free, but Alexandre Neves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pedro Torres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 37th minute Lúcio Assunção shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexandre Neves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lúcio Assunção in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alexandre Neves saved Arca FC from getting behind. Gaspar Anjos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Américo Coelho having to interfere. Godel's Américo Coelho proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Godel from getting a goal against them. Gaspar Anjos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Américo Coelho made a huge save. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Pedro Torres to strike the kick off in the second half. Arca FC's Alexandre Neves proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save Arca FC from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lúcio Assunção got free with Alexandre Neves in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Pedro Torres came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Godel fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pedro Torres couldn't finish the play. After 61 minutes of play, Arca FC's Gaspar Anjos made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Américo Coelho was left in no man's land by his defense there! Carlos Mendes hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. If Lúcio Assunção had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pedro Torres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexandre Neves having to interfere. Gaspar Anjos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Américo Coelho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alexandre Neves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Torres, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Lúcio Assunção received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Alexandre Neves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gaspar Anjos in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Américo Coelho prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
