When the match clock showed 7 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Rui Vale sped through SC Balsas's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Luís Borba. Catarino Porto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vítor Delgado read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, SC Balsas's goalkeeper Luís Borba had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rui Vale. Daniel Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Luís Borba tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Daniel Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Afonso Antunes's late challenge caught a SC Balsas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Catarino Porto made a kick off. Hugo Amaral recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hugo Amaral took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vítor Delgado. Vítor Delgado dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Hugo Amaral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vítor Delgado having to interfere. Hugo Amaral struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Vítor Delgado didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Balsas. If Rui Vale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. SC Balsas's Luís Borba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rui Vale in the 72nd minute of play. In the 73rd minute, Jaime Santarém hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Daniel Costa hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Oliveira Vaz took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luís Borba. Luís Borba dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. After a defensive mix-up in SC Balsas's zone, Rui Vale stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luís Borba came out of the goal and Rui Vale tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Daniel Costa during the 93rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Daniel Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Hugo Amaral in the 95thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Vítor Delgado, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Afonso Antunes kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. Catarino Porto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
