The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Afonso Lisboa to strike the kick off in the second half. Bruno Teixeira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Domingos Fontes, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Domingos Fontes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Bruno Teixeira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 73rd minute of the match Fernando Mendes sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Abel Cabral skillfully saved the ball. SC Fayal's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
