Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Afonso Barros started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd match minute, SC Abedim was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristiano Carvalho to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 4 minutes, Afonso Barros managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Casal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Afonso Barros was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. António Viegas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manuel Martins, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Manuel Martins's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but António Viegas was relentless in the 9th minute of the game. After 9 played minutes Casal got a freekick which was hit by José Amorim. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Afonso Barros during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Casal getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Afonso Barros hit a great ball. SC Abedim's Eusébio Fernandes got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mariano Aleixo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Afonso Barros in the 24th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Afonso Barros kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Mariano Aleixo. That made the score 1-0 in the 28 minute of play. Manuel Martins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. António Viegas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in SC Abedim's zone, Álvaro Morais stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mariano Aleixo came out of the goal and Álvaro Morais tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cristiano Carvalho took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 37th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for António Viegas. Casal's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 39th minute, Manuel Martins got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Eusébio Fernandes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without António Viegas having to interfere. 47 minutes into the match, SC Abedim's goalkeeper Mariano Aleixo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by José Amorim. Afonso Barros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mariano Aleixo having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Manuel Martins was the one to do the kick off. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Casal were victorious despite being under pressure from SC Abedim for much of the match.
