Joel Fonseca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Cardoso having to interfere. SC Bencanta's José Garcia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rui Domingues in the 26th minute of play. Joel Fonseca kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Mariano Assunção sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Facha FC's Bento Matias in the 34th minute got a chance for a shot 34th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SC Bencanta's goalie prevented a goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luís Carneiro during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mariano Assunção to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Facha FC's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Fonseca came free, but Carlos Cardoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carlos Cardoso came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by SC Bencanta's Joel Fonseca. But to his dismay, Joel Fonseca quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Rui Domingues sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mariano Assunção received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. José Garcia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Joel Fonseca came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the SC Bencanta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joel Fonseca couldn't finish the play. Joel Fonseca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 78 minutes into the match, Rui Domingues had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of José Garcia. SC Bencanta's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rui Domingues was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. 86 minutes into the match, SC Bencanta's goal looked a bit too open when Mariano Assunção came free, but José Garcia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carlos Cardoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Fonseca in the 91st minute of play. Adelino Araújo charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Adelino Araújo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Adelino Araújo hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
