The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute of the match Lucas Santarém shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but José Garcia showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Manuel Teixeira succeeded in the game's 5th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. José Garcia didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Manuel Teixeira went, in the 10th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. José Garcia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manuel Teixeira in the 15th minute of the match. Adolfo Rocha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Garcia having to interfere. After 19 minutes, Sebastião Guerreiro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Bencanta and the Azurva players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 19th minute, Sebastião Guerreiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. José Garcia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manuel Teixeira, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by André Barros in the 22nd minute of play forced Azurva's goalkeeper Fábio Pereira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fábio Pereira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Fonseca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 28 minutes of play, SC Bencanta's Joel Fonseca made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fábio Pereira was left in no man's land by his defense there! Joel Fonseca's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fábio Pereira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. 40 minutes into the game, Joel Fonseca was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Bencanta's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Azurva the free kick. Joel Fonseca kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. SC Bencanta's José Garcia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manuel Teixeira in the 43rd minute of play. José Garcia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manuel Teixeira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Manuel Teixeira made the kick off in the second half. Manuel Teixeira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pedro Araújo kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. 64 minutes into the match, SC Bencanta's Joel Fonseca sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fábio Pereira narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 71 minutes into the match, Azurva's goalkeeper Fábio Pereira had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Joel Fonseca. Through an outstanding action, after 77 minutes, Fábio Pereira successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Azurva's Fábio Pereira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Azurva from getting a goal against them. If André Barros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carlos Aguiar hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. José Garcia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eduardo Macedo in the 87th minute of the match. José Garcia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manuel Teixeira, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Azurva's Adolfo Rocha got a good chance for a goal in the 99th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Azurva's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
