Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Diogo Moreira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexandre Sá in the 5th minute of the match. Jaime Carvalho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Valbom FC's goalkeeper José Matos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Reixida booed when Valbom FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebastião Magalhães didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cândido Esteves's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but José Matos firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 34th minute, Alexandre Sá got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Reixida's Diogo Moreira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jaime Carvalho in the 36th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Reixida's zone, Jaime Carvalho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Diogo Moreira came out of the goal and Jaime Carvalho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 46th minute, Jaime Carvalho made a precise shot to the right of Diogo Moreira. Reixida's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1.
The wind increased when Alexandre Sá made the kick off in the second half. Cândido Esteves blasted a shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without José Matos having to make a save. Diogo Moreira was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Alexandre Sá showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 61 minute of play. José Matos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xavier Almeida, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jaime Carvalho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diogo Moreira having to interfere. 76 minutes into the game, Jaime Carvalho lined in a short shot 0-3 behind a frustrated Diogo Moreira. Xavier Almeida sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Diogo Moreira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
