Pedro Simões who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 3rdth minute tested the skills of Paulo Mendes when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Lourenço Fernandes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Francisco Lopes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 10 minutes, Francisco Lopes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tourinhas and the Guardao FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Guardao FC booed when Tourinhas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Francisco Lopes didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 14th minute Eusébio Ramos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rui Nascimento saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 20 minutes into the game, Eusébio Ramos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Rui Nascimento was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Lourenço Fernandes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guardao FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Lourenço Fernandes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paulo Mendes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rui Nascimento came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Tourinhas's Francisco Lopes. But to his dismay, Francisco Lopes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Lourenço Fernandes struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Paulo Mendes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Guardao FC. In the 36th minute, Lourenço Fernandes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Paulo Mendes didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 38th minute, which inside left pole to 1-2. After 43 played minutes Tourinhas got a freekick which was hit by Amílcar Lopes. With a little luck, Tourinhas's Paulo Mendes got control of the ball when Pedro Simões tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The wind increased when Lourenço Fernandes made the kick off in the second half. Francisco Lopes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rui Nascimento having to interfere. A collision led to Guardao FC getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Simão Alves hit a great ball. If Eusébio Ramos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 64th minute, Domingos Porto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pedro Simões sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Amílcar Lopes hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. After having played for 80 minutes, Pedro Simões managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guardao FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pedro Simões was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 81 minutes into the match, Tourinhas's goal looked a bit too open when Lourenço Fernandes came free, but Paulo Mendes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Eusébio Ramos might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rui Nascimento. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out.
