Oliveira Teixeira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cristiano Soares read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. Lúcio Lopes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gil Vieira hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Mangona fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 27th minute. Penalty! Jacinto Moniz hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Oliveira Teixeira to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Rogério Reis had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cristiano Soares. Mangona's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rogério Reis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Lúcio Lopes who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 58thth minute tested the skills of António Oliveira when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, António Cabral managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mangona's supporters rose to their feet, but António Cabral was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. António Oliveira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 61st minute, Lúcio Lopes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 3-1 became the score in the 65th minute when António Cabral elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. When Gil Vieira was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 69 minutes had been played. If Rogério Reis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rogério Reis blasted a shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cristiano Soares having to make a save. Rogério Reis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristiano Soares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rogério Reis, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. António Oliveira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lúcio Lopes in the 90th minute. After 93 played minutes Mangona got a freekick which was hit by Rafael Miranda. In the 97th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mangona's goalkeeper Cristiano Soares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
