In the 3rd minute João Torres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oliveira Delgado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Humberto Soares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 11th minute, Jaime Assunção managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cerdedo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jaime Assunção was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Oliveira Delgado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luís Mota fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vítor Moutinho having to interfere. 16 minutes into the match, Cerdedo FC's goalkeeper Vítor Moutinho had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luís Mota. Luís Mota sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 23rd match minute, Cerdedo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Júlio Costa to maneuver through the defense. Oliveira Delgado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Torres in the 27th minute of play. After 40 minutes of play, Cerdedo FC's Jaime Assunção made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Oliveira Delgado was left in no man's land by his defense there! Luís Mota received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Vítor Moutinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Humberto Soares was the one to do the kick off. SC Ventureira's Oliveira Delgado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Afonso Dias in the 53rd minute of play. After 56 played minutes Cerdedo FC got a freekick which was hit by Afonso Dias. After 60 minutes, Rafael Henriques mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Ventureira and the Cerdedo FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 60th match minute, SC Ventureira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafael Henriques to maneuver through the defense. In the 61st minute of the match Miguel Dias sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Oliveira Delgado skillfully saved the ball. Luís Mota's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vítor Moutinho read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. Vítor Moutinho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Mota in the 77th minute of the match. Jaime Assunção sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Although SC Ventureira had been in control for most of the match, Cerdedo FC still came away with the win.
