Adolfo Neto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Viriato Amaro having to interfere. A hard shot 29 in the game by Rui Cruz from a close distance when the talented Viriato Amaro managed to make a qualified save. SC Cambra's players were relieved. Xavier Alves stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of José Fernandes's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Penim FC's zone, Vítor Brito stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Xavier Alves came out of the goal and Vítor Brito tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Rui Cruz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Viriato Amaro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Cambra's goalkeeper Viriato Amaro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 69 minutes into the match, Penim FC's goal looked a bit too open when José Fernandes came free, but Xavier Alves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 74 minutes, Vítor Brito made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Penim FC's Xavier Alves tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Vítor Brito's late challenge caught a Penim FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vítor Brito helped the player get up and apologised. In the 83rd match minute, SC Cambra was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vítor Brito to maneuver through the defense.
