Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Inácio Viegas made the kick off and thus started the match. Xavier Anjos kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. A hard shot 5 in the game by Nuno Abreu from a close distance when the talented Marco Aguiar managed to make a qualified save. Machico FC's players were relieved. When Inácio Viegas came up free with the goalie in the 7th minute, the Lobrigos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Inácio Viegas couldn't finish the play. When Óscar Barros fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lobrigos's protests and gave Óscar Barros a yellow card for diving instead. Xavier Anjos shot a long shot in the 11th minute and a light blocked Amílcar Antunes hadn't a chance when the ball went into goal on his right side. It was 0-1. 14 minutes into the match, Machico FC's goalkeeper Marco Aguiar had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nuno Abreu. Alexandre Faria's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Amílcar Antunes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. Adelino Pinheiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 30 minutes into the match, Alexandre Faria notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Lobrigos's Amílcar Antunes. Amílcar Antunes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Adelino Pinheiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 41 minutes, Adelino Pinheiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Machico FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adelino Pinheiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Adelino Pinheiro in the 54th minute of play forced Lobrigos's goalkeeper Amílcar Antunes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Lobrigos defense, Alexandre Faria kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Amílcar Antunes. The Lobrigos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Amílcar Antunes should have stopped the shot. When Inácio Viegas came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Lobrigos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Inácio Viegas couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alexandre Faria got free with Amílcar Antunes in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 68th minute, Inácio Viegas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 70th minute, Machico FC's Adelino Pinheiro ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Amílcar Antunes. Amílcar Antunes yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-5. In the 74th minute Inácio Viegas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Aguiar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Machico FC getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Paulo Faro hit a great ball. Marco Aguiar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Inácio Viegas in the 76th minute of play. In the 86th minute Adelino Pinheiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amílcar Antunes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 90 minutes, Nuno Abreu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lobrigos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nuno Abreu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Marco Aguiar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Inácio Viegas in the 92nd minute of play. In the 95th minute, Nuno Abreu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Machico FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
