Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Inácio Viegas got the match started through his kick off. Diamantino Valente sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Lobrigos's Amílcar Antunes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diamantino Valente in the 13th minute of play. 15 minutes into the match, Lobrigos's Inácio Viegas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Viriato Miranda narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Nuno Abreu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Inácio Viegas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Viriato Miranda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lobrigos's goalkeeper Amílcar Antunes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 33rd match minute, Canal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Heitor Santos to maneuver through the defense. Bento Morais shot from long distance in the 33rd minute, but Viriato Miranda was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. Nuno Moutinho might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Amílcar Antunes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nuno Moutinho ran back to his position shaking his head. If Nuno Moutinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nuno Moutinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Amílcar Antunes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Nuno Moutinho made the kick off in the second half. After 55 played minutes Canal got a freekick which was hit by Gil Andrade. In the 56th minute, Bento Morais sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Canal's Viriato Miranda didn't even have to move. In the 64th minute, Nuno Abreu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Viriato Miranda was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Nuno Abreu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Viriato Miranda read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. Canal's Viriato Miranda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Inácio Viegas in the 69th minute of play. Nuno Moutinho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 78 minutes of play, Lobrigos's Inácio Viegas made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Viriato Miranda was left in no man's land by his defense there! Diamantino Valente fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amílcar Antunes having to interfere. When Nuno Abreu came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Lobrigos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nuno Abreu couldn't finish the play. Canal's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Lobrigos had won, even though Canal had held more of the ball.
