Almas FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Inácio Pacheco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Pedro Oliveira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Segude FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Pedro Oliveira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Henrique Lima breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Pedro Oliveira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Henrique Lima made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 15 minutes into the match, Delfim Soares had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Henrique Lima. Almas FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Delfim Soares was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Vasco Coimbra missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 20 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Henrique Lima right hand side. Henrique Lima showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Delfim Soares, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Almas FC's Henrique Lima played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiago Neves in the 24th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Inácio Pacheco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Afonso Carvalho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 29th minute Ricardo Leão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Afonso Carvalho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Segude FC's zone, Ricardo Leão stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Afonso Carvalho came out of the goal and Ricardo Leão tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ricardo Leãos short, quick shot in the 32ndth minute got Afonso Carvalho to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Delfim Soares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Henrique Lima tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Henrique Lima made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Delfim Soares in the 39th minute of play. Almas FC's Ricardo Leão got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Inácio Pacheco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Almas FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Inácio Pacheco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Afonso Carvalho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Afonso Carvalho was out of position in the 46 minute of play, and Ricardo Leão capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ricardo Leão really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Delfim Soares stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Segude FC getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Sebastião Anjos hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Almas FC's zone, Delfim Soares stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Henrique Lima came out of the goal and Delfim Soares tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 57 minutes into the game, Carlos Viegas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Almas FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Segude FC the free kick. In the 58th minute, Carlos Viegas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Henrique Lima made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Pedro Oliveira sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in Almas FC's zone, Pedro Oliveira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Henrique Lima came out of the goal and Pedro Oliveira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Almas FC getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Carlos Viegas hit a great ball. Mário Torres hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. When Vítor Costa fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Segude FC's protests and gave Vítor Costa a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Segude FC's Vítor Costa got a free kick in the 69th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gonçalo Paiva during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Almas FC's Henrique Lima played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastião Anjos in the 79th minute of play. Afonso Carvalho came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by Almas FC's Ricardo Leão. But to his dismay, Ricardo Leão quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. 90 minutes into the match, Inácio Pacheco had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Afonso Carvalho. Segude FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Inácio Pacheco was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. Ricardo Leão's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Afonso Carvalho read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Pedro Oliveira could shoot a difficult shot in the 95th minute, which Henrique Lima however easily saved by the left post. Almas FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Segude FC for a fine match.
