Peniche FC's Heitor Moreira got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 7th match minute, Peniche FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Baptista to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to SC Lourosa getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Bruno Fonseca hit a great ball. Heitor Moreira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Soares having to interfere. After having played for 16 minutes, Carlos Baptista managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Peniche FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carlos Baptista was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Afonso Esteves fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Lourosa's protests and gave Afonso Esteves a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, SC Lourosa's Afonso Esteves got a free kick in the 17th minute. Manuel Soares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Heitor Moreira in the 21st minute of the match. Manuel Soares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Heitor Moreira in the 23rd minute of play. With a little luck, Peniche FC's Alberto Setúbal got control of the ball when Alberto Brás tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, David Viana managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Lourosa's supporters rose to their feet, but David Viana was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alberto Setúbal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alberto Setúbal didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from David Viana went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. With a couple of smart ball manuevers David Viana in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alberto Setúbal saved Peniche FC from getting behind. After having played for 37 minutes, Carlos Baptista managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Peniche FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carlos Baptista was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 39 minutes into the match, SC Lourosa's goal looked a bit too open when Heitor Moreira came free, but Manuel Soares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 39th minute, Heitor Moreira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Peniche FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Carlos Baptista received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Manuel Soares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for David Viana to strike the kick off in the second half. Manuel Soares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Heitor Moreira in the 52nd minute of play. Heitor Moreira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Soares having to interfere. When Heitor Moreira came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Peniche FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Heitor Moreira couldn't finish the play. A collision led to SC Lourosa getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Cláudio Brás hit a great ball. In the 69th minute, Carlos Baptista got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Manuel Soares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Heitor Moreira in the 71st minute of play. Peniche FC's Carlos Baptista got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When SC Lourosa's David Viana in the 75th minute got a chance for a shot 75th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Peniche FC's goalie prevented a goal. 82 minutes into the match, SC Lourosa's goal looked a bit too open when Heitor Moreira came free, but Manuel Soares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Alberto Brás had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Heitor Moreira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Manuel Soares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 92 played minutes SC Lourosa got a freekick which was hit by Cláudio Brás. An unexpectedly hard shot by Heitor Moreira in the 94th minute of play forced SC Lourosa's goalkeeper Manuel Soares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carlos Baptista got free with Manuel Soares in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
