David Magalhães made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Meijoadas FC's David Magalhães played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Óscar Maia in the 7th minute of play. David Magalhães showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Óscar Maia in the 12th minute of the match. Adelino Dias's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but David Magalhães read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. Daniel Andrade took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bruno Trindade, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 24 minutes in the game, Bruno Trindade fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Daniel Andrade having to interfere. David Magalhães made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adelino Dias in the 26th minute of play. Óscar Maia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 29 minutes, Adelino Dias mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Albernoa FC and the Meijoadas FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Meijoadas FC booed when Albernoa FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adelino Dias didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bruno Trindade fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Andrade having to interfere. Óscar Maia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Magalhães having to interfere. Lucas Baptista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 47th minute of the match Albernoa FC got a corner. Meijoadas FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Nuno Gonçalves ran over to the corner to take the kick. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

53 minutes into the match, Albernoa FC's Adelino Dias sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that David Magalhães narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Lucas Baptista fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Andrade having to interfere. Daniel Andrade made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruno Trindade in the 64th minute of play. If Bruno Trindade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Óscar Maia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bruno Trindade sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Óscar Maia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adolfo Borba hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. 89 minutes into the game, Lucas Baptista was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Meijoadas FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Albernoa FC the free kick. After 92 minutes, Gustavo Fernandes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Albernoa FC and the Meijoadas FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Albernoa FC getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Gustavo Fernandes hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Albernoa FC's zone, Bruno Trindade stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Daniel Andrade came out of the goal and Bruno Trindade tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Chants of Albernoa FC echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Meijoadas FC had held the ball for most of the match.
