Catarino Melo hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. If Adolfo Santarém had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Álvaro Fontes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Júlio Monteiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. When Folques FC's Júlio Monteiro, in the 25th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Folques FC. After a defensive mix-up in Folques FC's zone, Rui Freitas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. António Leite came out of the goal and Rui Freitas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Diamantino Figueiredo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Álvaro Fontes having to interfere. Júlio Monteiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Álvaro Fontes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diamantino Figueiredo in the 37th minute of the match. A collision led to Crespelas FC getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Viriato Abreu hit a great ball. António Leite didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Crespelas FC. Álvaro Fontes stood somewhat misplaced when Diamantino Figueiredo came free in front of goal and shot 1-1 to the left of him in the 63 minute. Álvaro Fontes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adolfo Santarém, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. António Leite showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rui Freitas in the 72nd minute of the match. 78 minutes into the match, Rui Freitas notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Folques FC's António Leite. António Leite was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Júlio Monteiro got free with Álvaro Fontes in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Crespelas FC had won after a very even match.
