The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Cristiano Gueifão made an important save on a dangerous shot by David Bessa in the 3rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristóvão Oliveira in the 14th minute of play forced SC Alfafar's goalkeeper Pedro Setúbal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. David Bessa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Cristiano Gueifão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Manuel Cabral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Setúbal having to interfere. In the 25th minute, Cristóvão Oliveira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 29 minutes into the match, SC Alfafar's goal looked a bit too open when Manuel Cabral came free, but Pedro Setúbal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 36 minutes into the game, Óscar Domingues was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Macores's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Alfafar the free kick. Cristiano Gueifão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Delfim Ferro in the 46th minute of the match.

The wind increased when Cristóvão Oliveira made the kick off in the second half. Pedro Setúbal stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of André Amaral's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in SC Alfafar's zone, Manuel Cabral stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Setúbal came out of the goal and Manuel Cabral tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 85th minute Cristóvão Oliveira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Setúbal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Manuel Cabral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pedro Setúbal made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Manuel Cabral sent off a good shot on target. David Bessa struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Cristiano Gueifão didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Alfafar. For all the effort they put into the match, the SC Macores players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for SC Alfafar.
