Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Domingos Silva made the kick off which started today's match. Diogo Araújo made a fantastic save in the 5th minute, when José Castro sent off a good shot on target. In the 7th minute Domingos Silva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francisco Setúbal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Domingos Silva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francisco Setúbal having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Pedrais FC's zone, Humberto Sousa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Diogo Araújo came out of the goal and Humberto Sousa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pedrais FC's Diogo Araújo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Humberto Sousa in the 16th minute of play. Humberto Sousa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diogo Araújo having to interfere. In the 23rd minute Humberto Sousa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Diogo Araújo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Francisco Setúbal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Domingos Silva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 28th match minute, Pedrais FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by André Nogueira to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, José Castro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sacoes's supporters rose to their feet, but José Castro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Diogo Araújo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Humberto Sousa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diogo Araújo having to interfere. After having played for 39 minutes, José Castro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sacoes's supporters crossed their fingers, but José Castro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Diogo Araújo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Humberto Sousa in the 41st minute of play. Sacoes's José Castro got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Humberto Sousa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Diogo Araújo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
53 minutes into the match, Sacoes's goal looked a bit too open when Domingos Silva came free, but Francisco Setúbal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pedrais FC were awarded a corner in the 55th minute after Sacoes's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Armindo Vieira took the corner. After taking down the ball on Pedrais FC's corner Armindo Vieira fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Francisco Setúbal quite easily take care of the ball. In the 58th minute, Catarino Guarda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Diogo Araújo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Humberto Sousa went, in the 61st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. When Sandro Valente fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sacoes's protests and gave Sandro Valente a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Sacoes getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Sandro Valente hit a great ball. 71 minutes into the game, Armando Amorim was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sacoes's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pedrais FC the free kick. In the 71st minute, Armando Amorim hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Domingos Silva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Francisco Setúbal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Domingos Silva, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. In a very dangerous position, a player in Sacoes fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 76th minute. Penalty! Sacoes:s Francisco Setúbal showed great skill when he stopped Armindo Vieira:s penalty. After 78 minutes of play, Pedrais FC's Armindo Vieira made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Francisco Setúbal was left in no man's land by his defense there! When José Castro came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Sacoes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that José Castro couldn't finish the play. Diogo Araújo came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by Sacoes's José Castro. But to his dismay, José Castro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Humberto Sousa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Diogo Araújo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Castro, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. Humberto Sousa took the ball and in the 99 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Diogo Araújo. Diogo Araújo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Sacoes fully deserved thier win.
