Spectators: 33 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) SC Freixiosa's Amadeu Campos started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Domingos Paredes fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Freixiosa's protests and gave Domingos Paredes a yellow card for diving instead. Domingos Paredes kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Rui Paredes managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Ermigeira's supporters rose to their feet, but Rui Paredes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Manuel Viana breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Amadeu Campos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 8 minutes, Viriato Silva mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Ermigeira and the SC Freixiosa players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of SC Freixiosa booed when SC Ermigeira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Viriato Silva didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 13th minute of the match José Amorim sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Manuel Viana skillfully saved the ball. Manuel Viana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rui Paredes, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. The supporters of SC Ermigeira booed when SC Freixiosa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henrique Porto didn't get a good kick on the ball. SC Ermigeira's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Freixiosa the free kick. In the 37th match minute, SC Ermigeira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sebastião Figueiredo to maneuver through the defense. Emílio Viegas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomás Neves in the 91st minute of play. After having played for 97 minutes, Tomás Neves managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Freixiosa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomás Neves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
