In the 11th minute Afonso Mendes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Óscar Machado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 19 played minutes Bodiosa FC got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Morais. A collision led to SC Tendeira getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Adelino Pereira hit a great ball. Bodiosa FC's Óscar Machado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Afonso Mendes in the 24th minute of play. After some careless play in the Bodiosa FC defense, Afonso Mendes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Óscar Machado. The Bodiosa FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Óscar Machado should have stopped the shot. Óscar Machado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Afonso Mendes, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. If Rafael Ramos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nuno Santos was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in SC Tendeira's zone, Mariano Leite stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Albertino Viegas came out of the goal and Mariano Leite tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Joel Vale fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albertino Viegas having to interfere. Mariano Leite sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Mariano Leite had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 85th minute, Mariano Leite ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Albertino Viegas was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Albertino Viegas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Leite, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. In the 94th minute, Afonso Mendes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
