Fernando Aguiar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Óscar Porto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Cândido Simões tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jorge Coelho didn't get a good kick on the ball. 21 minutes into the match, Fernando Aguiar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cândido Simões. Parroselos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fernando Aguiar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Parroselos's Américo Silva pulled a muscle in his back after 25 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Delfim Paiva fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mangide FC's protests and gave Delfim Paiva a yellow card for diving instead. After 27 played minutes Mangide FC got a freekick which was hit by Delfim Paiva. After a rather tough play, Parroselos's Joaquim Simões got a free kick in the 30th minute. Cândido Simões showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Óscar Porto in the 37th minute of the match. Joaquim Simões struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Joaquim Azevedo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Parroselos. If Fernando Aguiar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joaquim Simões made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Fernando Aguiar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mangide FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Fernando Aguiar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cândido Simões breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Fernando Aguiar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Mangide FC's Fernando Aguiar in the 65th minute got a chance for a shot 65th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Parroselos's goalie prevented a goal. Jorge Barbosa's late challenge caught a Mangide FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jorge Barbosa helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Parroselos getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Jorge Barbosa hit a great ball. With a little luck, Parroselos's Cândido Simões got control of the ball when Óscar Porto tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cândido Simões showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fernando Aguiar, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Jorge Barbosa got his second yellow card in the match during the 73rd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 74 played minutes Parroselos got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Barbosa. Thanks to some nice moves Óscar Porto could shoot a difficult shot in the 74th minute, which Cândido Simões however easily saved by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernando Aguiar in the 79th minute of play forced Parroselos's goalkeeper Cândido Simões to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 79 minutes, André Monteiro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Parroselos and the Mangide FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. During the 82nd minute of the match André Monteiro completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave André Monteiro a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 82nd match minute, Parroselos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by André Monteiro to maneuver through the defense.
