In the 8th minute, José Gueifão sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Domingao FC's Alberto Leal didn't even have to move. After having played for 14 minutes, João Luz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gestoso FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but João Luz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Filipe Miranda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberto Leal having to interfere. Filipe Miranda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Álvaro Campos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Armando Anjos in the 30th minute. After 30 played minutes Gestoso FC got a freekick which was hit by Xavier Porto. Bernardo Ferreira received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Álvaro Campos came out and tried to block the shot, but Bernardo Ferreira slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 33rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Domingao FC's zone, Filipe Miranda stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alberto Leal came out of the goal and Filipe Miranda tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell João Luz to make the kick off. Bernardo Ferreira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Álvaro Campos having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling João Luz in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alberto Leal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 57 played minutes Domingao FC got a freekick which was hit by Amadeu Sousa. The audience was convinced that João Luz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alberto Leal was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. If Armando Anjos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Afonso Baptista hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. After having played for 64 minutes, Bernardo Ferreira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Domingao FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bernardo Ferreira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
