Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Cerejo FC's Vítor Borba started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Gaias getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Eusébio Marques hit a great ball. Tiago Costa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sandro Castro in the 6th minute of the match. Gaias's Tiago Costa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sandro Castro in the 7th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Cerejo FC's Vítor Borba got a free kick in the 8th minute. Joaquim Ferreira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. David Soares was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 13th minute. Gaias's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After 18 played minutes Cerejo FC got a freekick which was hit by José Leal. Gaias's Delfim Rodrigues couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 18th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Cerejo FC. David Soares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tiago Costa came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by Cerejo FC's Sandro Castro. But to his dismay, Sandro Castro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Emílio Barbosa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Soares in the 31st minute of play. Bento Castro's late challenge caught a Gaias's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bento Castro helped the player get up and apologised. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vítor Borba in the 41st minute of play forced Gaias's goalkeeper Tiago Costa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Sandro Castro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Delfim Rodrigues hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for David Soares to strike the kick off in the second half. Joaquim Ferreira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 54th match minute, Gaias was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Domingos Coimbra to maneuver through the defense. Vítor Borba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiago Costa having to interfere. David Soares's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Emílio Barbosa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. Vítor Borba received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Tiago Costa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 80 minutes into the match, Cerejo FC's Vítor Borba sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tiago Costa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Emílio Barbosa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Soares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 87th minute, David Soares ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Emílio Barbosa was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After 91 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Gaias! When the match had been going on for 92 minutes, Cerejo FC's José Leal got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Tiago Costa. Lúcio Gonçalves's late challenge caught a Gaias's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lúcio Gonçalves helped the player get up and apologised. In the 95th match minute, Cerejo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lúcio Gonçalves to maneuver through the defense. In the 96th minute of the match Domingos Coimbra sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Emílio Barbosa skillfully saved the ball. A collision led to Cerejo FC getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Lúcio Gonçalves hit a great ball.
