In the 21st minute Lúcio Tavares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexandre Nascimento saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alexandre Nascimento showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hugo Luz, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. The supporters of Camboes booed when Figueiredo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorge Vale didn't get a good kick on the ball. 34 minutes into the game, Camboes's Manuel Freitas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alexandre Nascimento made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Camboes's Lúcio Tavares got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Simão Vieira made an important save on a dangerous shot by João Nunes in the 39th minute. In the 40th minute, Hugo Luz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 41 minutes into the match, Camboes's goalkeeper Simão Vieira had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by João Nunes. Simão Vieira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling João Nunes in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Simão Vieira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 62 played minutes Camboes got a freekick which was hit by Manuel Freitas. João Nunes might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Simão Vieira. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. João Nunes ran back to his position shaking his head. 65 minutes into the match, Figueiredo's João Nunes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Simão Vieira narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jorge Vale fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Simão Vieira having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Vasco Figueiredo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Figueiredo's supporters rose to their feet, but Vasco Figueiredo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Simão Vieira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 81st minute Jorge Vale shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Simão Vieira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 83rd minute of the match Cristiano Cardoso sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Simão Vieira skillfully saved the ball.
