Engenheiro's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Ricardo Cruz's late challenge caught a Alcorvel's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ricardo Cruz helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Engenheiro's Ricardo Cruz got a free kick in the 61st minute. Gonçalo Coelho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Bruno Almeida tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Engenheiro's zone, Álvaro Setúbal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bruno Almeida came out of the goal and Álvaro Setúbal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Engenheiro fans cheered their team off the field, for while Alcorvel had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
