Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Cristiano Ferreira started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After a rather tough play, Varis FC's Cristiano Ferreira got a free kick in the 3rd minute. If José Coimbra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristiano Ferreira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nuno Brito's late challenge caught a Pechao's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nuno Brito helped the player get up and apologised. In the 13th match minute, Varis FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nuno Brito to maneuver through the defense. In the 16th minute, Júlio Viana made a precise shot to the right of Delfim Setúbal. Varis FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. António Brito made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristiano Ferreira in the 22nd minute of play. A collision led to Varis FC getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Xavier Ferreira hit a great ball. Filipe Ferreira, 25 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Júlio Viana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Delfim Setúbal having to interfere. Cristiano Ferreira was shown his second yellow card after 30 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Cristiano Ferreira kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. When Rogério Leão came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Pechao fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rogério Leão couldn't finish the play. In the 36th minute, Júlio Viana made a precise shot to the right of Delfim Setúbal. Varis FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. António Brito took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joaquim Lima, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The wind increased when José Coimbra made the kick off in the second half. Joaquim Lima could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but António Brito made a huge save. If Joaquim Lima had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 58th minute José Coimbra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Delfim Setúbal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 63 minutes into the match, José Coimbra had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Delfim Setúbal. Varis FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that José Coimbra was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind Pechao's goalkeeper António Brito, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Delfim Setúbal stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Júlio Viana's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. In the 73rd minute, Pechao's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Joaquim Lima fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 75th minute, Joaquim Lima hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 80 played minutes Pechao got a freekick which was hit by Joaquim Soares. Joaquim Lima might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over António Brito. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Joaquim Lima ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Pechao getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Afonso Carvalho hit a great ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Varis FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Pechao.
