Cristóvão Trindade kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Xavier Resende showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Ferro, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. 28 minutes into the match, Famoes's goal looked a bit too open when Pedro Queirós came free, but António Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Salao FC's Xavier Resende played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernando Borges in the 33rd minute of play. João Ferro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 37 minutes into the game, Famoes's Ricardo Tavares nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Xavier Resende made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 43rd match minute, Salao FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adolfo Guerreiro to maneuver through the defense. Famoes's Paulo Gonçalves couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 44th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Salao FC.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fernando Borges to strike the kick off in the second half. Xavier Resende made a fantastic save in the 51st minute, when João Ferro sent off a good shot on target. 55 minutes into the game, Salao FC's Abel Valente nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. António Amorim made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Xavier Resende made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when João Ferro sent off a good shot on target. After 64 played minutes Famoes got a freekick which was hit by Ricardo Tavares. If Fernando Borges had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernando Borges in the 69th minute of play forced Salao FC's goalkeeper Xavier Resende to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 73rd minute, João Ferro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Xavier Resende was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Carlos Nogueira kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. António Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abel Valente in the 79th minute of play. Xavier Resende was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Fernando Borges showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 82 minute of play. 87 minutes into the game, Cristóvão Trindade was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Salao FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Famoes the free kick. A collision led to Salao FC getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Cristóvão Trindade hit a great ball. João Ferro's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Xavier Resende firmly grabbed it by the left post. João Ferro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Xavier Resende made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when João Ferro sent off a good shot on target. When the final whistle sounded Famoes left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Salao FC.
