The audience thought a goal was coming when Gustavo Figueiredo got free with Xavier Resende in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 11th minute, Gustavo Figueiredo fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Xavier Resende, passed just outside the right post. Marco Valente fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xavier Resende having to interfere. Xavier Resende made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Gustavo Figueiredo sent off a good shot on target. 18 minutes into the match, Gustavo Figueiredo notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Salao FC's Xavier Resende. Xavier Resende was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gustavo Figueiredo got free with Xavier Resende in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Adolfo Guerreiro hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Abel Valente received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. André Dias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cristóvão Trindade's late challenge caught a Sermonde FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cristóvão Trindade helped the player get up and apologised. Marco Valente sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 68 played minutes Salao FC got a freekick which was hit by Abel Carneiro. In the 76th minute, Marco Valente got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Salao FC booed when Sermonde FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Lisboa didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Abel Valente came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Salao FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abel Valente couldn't finish the play. Pedro Queirós could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but André Dias made a huge save. In a very dangerous position, a player in Salao FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 85th minute. Penalty! Abel Valente blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without André Dias having to make a save. In the 97th minute of the match, Abel Valente got a very nice opportunity to score, but André Dias was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Sermonde FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
