Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vasco Rodrigues in the 7th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck João Veiga prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The crowd rose to their feet as Arrabis's Luís Viana slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Bernardo Rocha. That made the score 1-0 after 9 minutes of play. If Vasco Rodrigues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Arrabis's zone, Gustavo Silva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. João Veiga came out of the goal and Gustavo Silva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Oliveira Matos during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Gabriel Brás might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over João Veiga. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gabriel Brás ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Arrabis's Emanuel Fernandes got a free kick in the 17th minute. Gabriel Brás made a great header on Cornalheira FC's corner, it was just that Arrabis's João Veiga managed to reach the ball for a save. Vasco Rodrigues struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. João Veiga didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cornalheira FC. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sandro Abreu during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 26th match minute, Arrabis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sandro Abreu to maneuver through the defense. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gustavo Silva stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Arrabis's Luís Viana sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bernardo Rocha narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Vasco Rodrigues came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Cornalheira FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vasco Rodrigues couldn't finish the play. João Veiga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustavo Silva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Cristóvão Neto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gustavo Silva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. João Veiga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Arrabis's João Veiga got control of the ball when Vasco Rodrigues tried to sneak it across the goal line. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
