Joaquim Bessa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomás Ferro in the 10th minute of play forced SC Cumiada's goalkeeper Afonso Magalhães to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tomás Ferro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Albertino Pinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Afonso Magalhães having to interfere. Afonso Magalhães made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albertino Pinho in the 21st minute of play. Tomás Ferro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Afonso Magalhães having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in SC Cumiada's zone, Albertino Pinho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Afonso Magalhães came out of the goal and Albertino Pinho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Afonso Magalhães showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albertino Pinho, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Hélder Vale charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hélder Vale the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Mogos's Hélder Vale got a free kick in the 30th minute. After 30 played minutes, SC Cumiada's Pedro Veiga shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Rogério Ferro came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in SC Cumiada reached it. Afonso Magalhães showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomás Ferro in the 37th minute of the match. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Albertino Pinho to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Albertino Pinho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mogos's supporters rose to their feet, but Albertino Pinho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Afonso Magalhães breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Afonso Magalhães made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomás Ferro in the 55th minute. In the 56th minute, Jacinto Sousa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Hélder Vale was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 58 minutes had been played. After 59 played minutes Mogos got a freekick which was hit by Hélder Vale. Rogério Ferro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gabriel Melo's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. Rogério Ferro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joaquim Bessa in the 69th minute of play. Tomás Ferro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Afonso Magalhães made a huge save. Joaquim Bessa kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Catarino Azevedo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mogos's supporters rose to their feet, but Catarino Azevedo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Afonso Magalhães breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Joaquim Bessa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mogos's goalkeeper Rogério Ferro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rogério Ferro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joaquim Bessa, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomás Ferro got free with Afonso Magalhães in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mogos's Tomás Ferro got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
