Currelos's supporters rose to their feet, but Sandro Moutinho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Campos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Pedro Domingues fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Campos having to interfere. 15 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Currelos's Sandro Moutinho fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. 27 minutes into the match, Currelos's goal looked a bit too open when Francisco Fonseca came free, but Marco Anjos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Carlos Alves during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Carlos Alves hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. In the 36th minute, Francisco Fonseca reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Marco Anjos. The goal made the score 2-0. Francisco Fonseca ran back to his position shaking his head. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Francisco Fonseca was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute Eusébio Amaral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Anjos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 57 minutes into the match, Currelos's goal looked a bit too open when Eusébio Amaral came free, but Marco Anjos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marco Anjos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eusébio Amaral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 91st minute, Nuno Aleixo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Eusébio Amaral struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Marco Anjos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Requeixo. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The SC Requeixo fans cheered their team off the field, for while Currelos had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
