Emanuel Viana took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 20th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Alberto Soares. Alrote FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Marco Anjos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernando Carvalho in the 22nd minute of play. It was a well-played corner which Cláudio Lisboa managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.
