Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) An unexpectedly hard shot by Miguel Neto in the 2nd minute of play forced Melo's goalkeeper Nuno Mota to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carlos Pinto hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Melo's Nuno Mota played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miguel Neto in the 7th minute of play. Eusébio Veiga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nuno Mota having to interfere. In the 11th minute Miguel Neto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nuno Mota saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 14th minute, Melo's Manuel Moreira seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Manuel Moreira the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Melo protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Manuel Moreira had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 14 minutes into the game, one of Melo:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eusébio Veiga to make the kick off. If João Macedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 92nd match minute, Melo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rui Marques to maneuver through the defense. If Eusébio Veiga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Humberto Assis didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from João Macedo went, in the 97th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score.
