An unexpectedly hard shot by Vicente Lisboa in the 9th minute of play forced SC Machado's goalkeeper Humberto Ribeiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bento Gonçalves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 27th minute Nuno Brito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filipe Branco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carlos Marques could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Humberto Ribeiro made a huge save. Gandra's Filipe Branco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nuno Brito in the 33rd minute of play. If Bento Gonçalves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When SC Machado's Bento Gonçalves in the 37th minute got a chance for a shot 37th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Gandra's goalie prevented a goal. If Bento Gonçalves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 44th minute of the match Nuno Marques shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Filipe Branco showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Carlos Marques recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

In the 59th minute, Vicente Lisboa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee felt a red card was in order, 61 minutes into the game, when Gustavo Aleixo put in a rough tackle. After 60 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Gandra! David Matias's late challenge caught a SC Machado's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. David Matias helped the player get up and apologised. 65 minutes into the game, one of Gandra:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. If Nuno Brito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 73rd match minute, SC Machado was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Carneiro to maneuver through the defense. Gandra's Américo Mendes got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. André Nascimento hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Lourenço Almeida, 81 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 84th minute Carlos Marques shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Humberto Ribeiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 96 minutes into the match, Gandra's goal looked a bit too open when Bento Gonçalves came free, but Filipe Branco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nuno Brito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Humberto Ribeiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Marques in the 99th minute of play. 101 minutes into the match, SC Machado's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Marques came free, but Humberto Ribeiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched SC Machado eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
