An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Amaral in the 3rd minute of play forced Azevedos's goalkeeper Rui Gueifão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Artur Aguiar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Júlio Miranda in the 5th minute of the match. Alexandre Leal hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. A hard shot by Francisco Ramos from long distance, 8 minutes into the match, got Artur Aguiar's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Júlio Miranda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Artur Aguiar having to interfere. The supporters of Azevedos booed when SC Vinagres was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marco Faro didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, SC Vinagres's Artur Aguiar got control of the ball when Jaime Gomes tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 96th minute, Bento Neves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. SC Vinagres's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
