A very good chance. 6 minutes into the game, Joaquim Maia was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Saiceira FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Saiceira the free kick. Joaquim Maia hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. In the 8th minute Daniel Martins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filipe Aguiar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 11th minute of the game. One of Saiceira FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of SC Saiceira:s goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniel Martins in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Filipe Aguiar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cristiano Magalhães hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. 26 minutes into the game, Joel Leiria was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Saiceira FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Saiceira the free kick. The supporters of SC Saiceira booed when Saiceira FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joel Leiria didn't get a good kick on the ball. 27 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when SC Saiceira's Cristiano Alves fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. When Filipe Cabral came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Saiceira FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Filipe Cabral couldn't finish the play. Daniel Viana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Filipe Cabral, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. After a rather tough play, SC Saiceira's André Mota got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Francisco Pacheco's late challenge caught a Saiceira FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Francisco Pacheco helped the player get up and apologised. In the 35th minute, Francisco Pacheco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cristiano Magalhães struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Daniel Viana didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Saiceira FC. In the 44th minute Daniel Martins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filipe Aguiar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristiano Alves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filipe Aguiar having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Filipe Cabral to strike the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes SC Saiceira got a freekick which was hit by António Pacheco. Daniel Viana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Filipe Cabral in the 54th minute of play. After a rather tough play, SC Saiceira's Eusébio Alves got a free kick in the 56th minute. Filipe Cabral's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Daniel Viana read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. Daniel Viana came out of the goal in the 64th minute to try and stop a shot by Saiceira FC's Filipe Cabral. But to his dismay, Filipe Cabral quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. The audience held their breath when António Pacheco in the 70th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Filipe Aguiar's left hand side. In the 71st match minute, Saiceira FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joel Leiria to maneuver through the defense. After 72 minutes, André Mota mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Saiceira and the Saiceira FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Cristiano Alves struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Filipe Aguiar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Saiceira. Eusébio Alves charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eusébio Alves the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The attack was good, but when Filipe Cabral in the 77th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. When Afonso Amaral came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Saiceira FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Afonso Amaral couldn't finish the play. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
