Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Daniel Delgado got the match started through his kick off. Cristoval FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Júlio Figueiredo hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mestras's goalkeeper Pedro Vieira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 14th minute, Júlio Figueiredo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pedro Vieira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Delgado in the 19th minute of play. Júlio Figueiredo kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Adolfo Trindade received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Manuel Garcia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alexandre Aguiar's late challenge caught a Mestras's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alexandre Aguiar helped the player get up and apologised. After 29 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Cristoval FC! Sandro Baptista shot the penalty kick right outside the post. If Adolfo Trindade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Joaquim Maia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mestras's supporters rose to their feet, but Joaquim Maia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Manuel Garcia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Daniel Delgado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pedro Vieira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Delgado in the 43rd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Cláudio Jesus managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cristoval FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Cláudio Jesus was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Vieira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Joaquim Maia was the one to do the kick off. In the 57th minute, Cláudio Jesus left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cristoval FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. When Cláudio Jesus came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Cristoval FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cláudio Jesus couldn't finish the play. In the 65th minute, Mestras's Joaquim Maia ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Manuel Garcia. Manuel Garcia yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. Joaquim Maia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Manuel Garcia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Manuel Garcia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joaquim Maia in the 70th minute of the match. Joaquim Maia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Manuel Garcia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. In the 75th minute, Afonso Borba hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mestras's Pedro Vieira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Delgado in the 79th minute of play. Cristoval FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Joaquim Maia 80 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-2. Manuel Garcia made an important save on a dangerous shot by Adolfo Trindade in the 87th minute. 89 minutes into the match, Cristoval FC's goal looked a bit too open when Joaquim Maia came free, but Manuel Garcia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Albertino Lisboa's late challenge caught a Mestras's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Albertino Lisboa helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Cristoval FC getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Albertino Lisboa hit a great ball. Manuel Garcia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joaquim Maia, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
