Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Gabriel Nogueira got the match started through his kick off. 4 minutes into the match, Malhapao FC's Luís Maia sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eusébio Dias narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Paulo Maia might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Viriato Ferro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Paulo Maia ran back to his position shaking his head. Viriato Ferro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paulo Maia in the 11th minute of the match. Nuno Morais struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Viriato Ferro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Sousanil. Paulo Maia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Viriato Ferro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gonçalo Jesus in the 16th minute of play forced Malhapao FC's goalkeeper Viriato Ferro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Paulo Magalhães fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Malhapao FC's protests and gave Paulo Magalhães a yellow card for diving instead. After 18 played minutes Malhapao FC got a freekick which was hit by Paulo Magalhães. If Luís Maia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joaquim Costa hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Malhapao FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 28th minute. Penalty! Luís Maia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eusébio Dias having to interfere. Malhapao FC's Viriato Ferro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulo Maia in the 41st minute of play. Paulo Maia took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Viriato Ferro. Viriato Ferro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. In the 44th match minute, SC Sousanil was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jorge Pedroso to maneuver through the defense. 46 minutes into the match, SC Sousanil's goal looked a bit too open when Gabriel Nogueira came free, but Eusébio Dias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Luís Maia's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eusébio Dias was relentless in the 49th minute of the game. After the first half SC Sousanil were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Paulo Maia was the one to do the kick off. 54 minutes into the game, one of SC Sousanil:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 56th minute there was a penalty for Malhapao FC. Lúcio Pinho stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Eusébio Dias. 1-3. Gonçalo Jesus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Viriato Ferro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. SC Sousanil's Jaime Neves got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gabriel Nogueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eusébio Dias having to interfere. In the 71st match minute, SC Sousanil was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jorge Pedroso to maneuver through the defense. Gabriel Nogueira blasted a shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Eusébio Dias having to make a save. Joaquim Bessa charged in rather forcefully in the 77th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Joaquim Bessa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Joaquim Bessa hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Jaime Neves's late challenge caught a Malhapao FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. When the match had gone on for 94 minutes, Paulo Maia took a quick shot and it went in 1-4 without a chance for Viriato Ferro to make any attempt to save it. If Gabriel Nogueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 99th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. SC Sousanil had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
