The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Fábio Carneiro in the 61st minute of play forced Ventosa's goalkeeper Cláudio Moutinho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hélder Marques during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Hélder Marques hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Jorge Sá's late challenge caught a Ventosa's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jorge Sá helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Ventosa booed when SC Mosqueiro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorge Sá didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers João Guarda in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vítor Viegas saved SC Mosqueiro from getting behind. In the 86th minute João Guarda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vítor Viegas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ventosa's João Guarda got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
