The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Daniel Teixeira showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 7 minutes into the match, SC Remedios's Cristóvão Fernandes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Daniel Teixeira narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Óscar Mendes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 14 minutes into the match, Adais's goal looked a bit too open when Ricardo Bessa came free, but Daniel Teixeira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Adais's zone, Cristóvão Fernandes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Daniel Teixeira came out of the goal and Cristóvão Fernandes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tiago Amorim's late challenge caught a SC Remedios's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tiago Amorim helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of SC Remedios booed when Adais was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tiago Amorim didn't get a good kick on the ball. 20 minutes into the game, Ricardo Bessa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Daniel Teixeira was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ricardo Bessa couldn't finish the play. SC Remedios's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
