Codeceiro FC's Domingos Faro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joaquim Lisboa in the 3rd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joaquim Lisboa in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Domingos Faro saved Codeceiro FC from getting behind. Mariano Vaz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Domingos Faro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joaquim Lisboa, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Albertino Marques showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Américo Setúbal in the 15th minute of the match. Alexandre Brito's late challenge caught a Codeceiro FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alexandre Brito helped the player get up and apologised. Alexandre Brito kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. The supporters of SC Pombal booed when Codeceiro FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Américo Vale didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jacinto Assis shot from long distance in the 22nd minute, but Domingos Faro was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. If Mariano Vaz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 30 minutes into the game, Mariano Vaz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Pombal's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Codeceiro FC the free kick. In the 31st match minute, SC Pombal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mariano Vaz to maneuver through the defense. Albertino Marques took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joaquim Reis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 34th minute, Fernando Amaro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. SC Pombal's Albertino Marques played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Américo Setúbal in the 42nd minute of play. Albertino Marques stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Américo Setúbal's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. Codeceiro FC's Joaquim Reis got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The wind increased when Américo Setúbal made the kick off in the second half. Américo Setúbal recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Joaquim Reis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 55 minutes into the match, Joaquim Lisboa notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Codeceiro FC's Domingos Faro. Domingos Faro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 62nd minute, Eusébio Pires hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Domingos Faro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joaquim Lisboa in the 64th minute of the match. Mariano Vaz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Domingos Faro having to interfere. If Joaquim Lisboa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 84th minute, Jacinto Assis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joaquim Reis got free with Albertino Marques in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Albertino Marques took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Américo Setúbal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
