Joaquim Reis scored 1-1 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jorge Matias, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 46 minutes into the match, Codeceiro FC's goal looked a bit too open when Oliveira Valente came free, but Domingos Faro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Oliveira Valente was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind Codeceiro FC's goalkeeper Domingos Faro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Joaquim Reis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 59 minutes into the game, Lourenço Araújo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Poios's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Codeceiro FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Poios's Lourenço Araújo got a free kick in the 59th minute. Gabriel Delgado's late challenge caught a Codeceiro FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gabriel Delgado helped the player get up and apologised. 61 minutes into the game, one of Poios:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Joaquim Reis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Américo Setúbal blasted a shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jorge Matias having to make a save. Joaquim Reis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Jorge Matias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Poios's Jorge Matias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Américo Setúbal in the 78th minute of play. In the 80th match minute, Poios was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lourenço Araújo to maneuver through the defense. In the 81st minute of the match Eusébio Pires sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jorge Matias skillfully saved the ball. A collision led to Poios getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Lourenço Araújo hit a great ball. After 91 played minutes Codeceiro FC got a freekick which was hit by Filipe Machado. José Oliveira, 92 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Domingos Faro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oliveira Valente, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
