David Garcia in the 3rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Júlio Bessa, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. SC Correias's Gil Andrade played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Augusto Neto in the 5th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Armando Silva in the 7th minute of play forced SC Correias's goalkeeper Gil Andrade to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ameijoeira's Armando Silva got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Armando Silva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Gil Andrade tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Ameijoeira booed when SC Correias was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joel Porto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jaime Pinheiro was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 23rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Gil Andrade took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Armando Silva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 27th minute, David Garcia left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Correias fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. 30 minutes into the match, SC Correias's goal looked a bit too open when Augusto Neto came free, but Gil Andrade reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Augusto Neto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Ameijoeira booed when SC Correias was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Araújo didn't get a good kick on the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Viriato Vale to make the kick off. In the 54th minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Correias's goalkeeper Gil Andrade, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. SC Correias's Gil Andrade proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save SC Correias from getting a goal against them. Jaime Pinheiro was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 65th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Gil Andrade showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Armando Silva in the 68th minute of the match. When Diogo Martins fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Correias's protests and gave Diogo Martins a yellow card for diving instead. Diogo Martins kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. After 72 minutes SC Correias's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jaime Pinheiro who took care of the corner kick. Gil Andrade showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Armando Silva in the 76th minute of the match. 81 minutes into the match, Armando Silva dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Gil Andrade, 1-1. In the 83rd match minute, Ameijoeira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Armando Silva to maneuver through the defense. Ameijoeira's supporters crossed their fingers, but Augusto Neto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Armando Silva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gil Andrade having to interfere.
