Eusébio Brito showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ricardo Gonçalves, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. After 19 played minutes Patusca FC got a freekick which was hit by Luís Brás. Adolfo Silva charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Adolfo Silva the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Adolfo Silva hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Basílio Pinho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vítor Santarém in the 31st minute of the match. In the 32nd minute, Cristiano Faro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Fermil FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricardo Gonçalves in the 36th minute of play forced Patusca FC's goalkeeper Eusébio Brito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 42 minutes into the game, Ricardo Gonçalves recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Eusébio Brito. Ricardo Gonçalves showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vítor Santarém to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Fermil FC's goal looked a bit too open when Vítor Santarém came free, but Basílio Pinho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vítor Santarém sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Fermil FC booed when Patusca FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristóvão Assunção didn't get a good kick on the ball. 63 minutes into the match, Vítor Santarém dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Basílio Pinho, 2-1. After a rather tough play, Patusca FC's Luís Brás got a free kick in the 65th minute. Patusca FC's Eusébio Brito played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristiano Faro in the 69th minute of play. Gil Branco kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. 74 minutes into the match, Patusca FC's Bento Azevedo broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Basílio Pinho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vítor Santarém, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Cristiano Faro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eusébio Brito having to interfere. Vítor Santarém struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Basílio Pinho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Patusca FC. In the 91st minute Cristóvão Assunção suffered a knee injury and had to be helped off the field. Adolfo Silva recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fermil FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
